MEET COACH TRE HORTON

Tre Horton carries over twenty years of experience in the sport of wrestling as a student, athlete, and a coach. He is currently serving as the Camp Director and as an Assistant Coach at Life University. He is also the owner and host of the Wrestling Core Podcast designed to give wrestlers everything they need to be successful in one place. He is imbued with a passion for the sport having extensive coaching experience at the youth, high school, and college levels. He has coached multiple state placers, All-Americans, and National Champions on all levels, and has received multiple awards for his outstanding coaching skills. He has also served as the main point of contact for the launching of many clubs and provided valuable insight to existing clubs to foster success. In addition, he rebuilt the Peachtree Ridge youth wrestling program in Gwinnett County, the largest county in Georgia, to be the largest in the region in two years. Tre wrestled with impressive results at Peachtree Ridge High School and finished his extensive competitive career at Brewton-Parker College. He has worked extensively with the Life University team to help win National Duals in 2024, a first in program history. He holds USA Wrestling Bronze & Copper certifications and has completed the NWCA College Coaching Leadership Academy.
